Happy Ressurection Day!

Well, I had every intention of writing on this blog starting the first of the year. However, you know how that goes. I guess I wasn't too serious about my weight loss at that time. Now it is a different story.

First off...Happy Easter to everyone! It is a day to celebrate the risen Christ! I pray that this day finds you with lots of love, hope, peace and time with your families.

Okay, onto weight loss. I have been doing the DASH Diet the past two weeks, with some encouragement from my darling niece, who has lost around 25 lbs! She rocks! For me, I have had no sweets, including bread and pasta for a whole 14 days! Today starts phase two where you start adding in small quantities of those foods. It has been a challenge for sure. I almost wavered a few times. But this is what I wanted, to get the sugar out of my body and to know that yes, I can do without it. I was really hoping that it would stop my sugar craving but not sure it really has. That is how much I love sweets! It has taught me that I need to limit that kind of food instead of woofing down a whole box of toffee sandies like I was doing

The good news is that I have officially lost 10 lbs. since I started! I am really hoping that I can stick to this healthy way of life. Like I said, it was tough. I am more of a fruit eater than veggies. In fact, if I never have another veggie, it may make me happy. :) So, I am on the road to a healthier life! Yay!

Oh, and I signed this blog up for the yearly A-Z challenge once again. Maybe this way, I will keep up with this. Look for daily posts, at least through April.

Have a wonderful Easter!
